Ann (McNamara) Adcock, 86, of Stonecrest Drive, Bristol, formerly of New Haven, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 5, 2008. She was he wife of the late William H. Adcock and loving mother of Elizabeth Dudek of Bristol and Margaret Potz of Sag Harbor, Long Island. She is also survived by her six cherished grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Father Basil Adcock; a brother, Joseph McNamara; and a sister, Margaret McNamara. Ann was born in New Haven, Sept. 27, 1922. She had worked for many years in the new-born nursery at St. Raphael’s Hospital. Mrs. Adcock was a member of St. Rita’s Church Ladies Guild and was a eucharistic minister. Her funeral will leave Sisk Brothers Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave., Hamden, Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. in St. Rita Church. Friends may call Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2911 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, 06518.
