SCHUBERT, Virgina E. (Porrini)

Virginia E. (Porrini) Schubert went to join the angels in heaven on Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Bristol Hospital. Virginia was born to Josephine and Frank Porrini on April 10, 1931. She leaves one daughter, Kathleen Doolittle and her husband William L. Doolittle as well as one very special sister Rosemarie Guzowski. “Gramma Shuby” will be dearly missed as she leaves behind her loving grandchildren: Richard (and Jennifer) Armington, Lisa (and Tom) Levesque, Tina Santorso, and Kara, Kelly, and William T. Doolittle, as well as six great grandchildren: Nicole, Alanna, Joel, Holly, and “the twins”, Nicholas and Nathan, who have been permanently marked by the red lipstick “Shuby” kiss. Virginia, also known as Aunt “Cha”, will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews. A special goodbye is wished to her longtime friends Lillian, Barbara, and Nellie, and special new friends…Anita, and the rest of the Birchwood Drive gang. She was very happy during her short time there. A special farewell is also sent to her many McDonald friends at the Centre Mall. She said they will have to find another Red Sox fan to pick on. Virginia was known for her faith, strength of heart, love of angels and her “red birds”. She has now joined her dearest angels. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard, her two daughters: Linda Dougeneck and Susan Santorso, and a grandson, Richard Santorso. May she find peace everlasting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday (December 3, 2008) at 10:30 A.M., at St. Joseph Church, Queen Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol on Wednesday between 8:30 and 10 A.M. On-line guestbook is available at www.FunkFuneralHome.com
