Mollie (Biscoe) Gengenbach, 95, of Hartford, formerly of Bristol for over 50 years and widow of Hugh R. Gengenbach, died Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at Avery Heights, Hartford, where she made her home for the last nine years. She was born in Terryville, Christmas Day, 1912 and was a daughter of the late Wasco and Julia Biscoe. She was predeceased by her eight siblings and was the last surviving member of her family. Mollie was a member of First Congregational Church, Bristol, for more than 60 years and was a member of Olivet Chapter No. 29, OES. She retired from the former Superior Electric Co. in 1974. From a young age, Mollie enjoyed helping her father on the family farm. She was an excellent seamstress and homemaker and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, always living by the Golden Rule. In her retirement, she enjoyed playing cards at the Bristol and Terryville Senior Centers. She and her husband visited 45 states on their yearly motor trips. She leaves a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Diana Gengenbach of Rocky Hill; two daughters and a son-in-law, Marie Fuss of Flagler Beach, Fla. and Louise and Gordon Heisler of Jamesville, N.Y.; five grandchildren, Mark and Christopher Gengenbach, Diane O’Keefe and James and David Fuss; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Saturday, 10:30 a.m. from DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, followed by a service in First Congregational Church at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in West Cemetery, Bristol.
