GAMACHE, Clement J.


Clement J. Gamache, 86, of Bristol, husband of the late Irene (Moore) Gamache, died Thursday November 27, 2008 at Elim Park Baptist Home, Cheshire. Clement was born in Bristol on December 21, 1921 and was a son of the late Joseph J. and Mary (Casey) Gamache. He resided in Bristol all his life and was employed by the Local #76 Plumbers Union, Hartford for 50 years before retiring in 1963. Clement was a U. S. Marine veteran of World War II and was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bristol, American Legion Seicheprey Post #2, James McNamee Chapter #5 Disabled American Veterans, and the Bristol Lodge of Elk’s #1010. Clement is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John J. and Reid Gamache of Bristol; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Kathleen and Bruce LeBrun of St. Louis, MO, and Nancy Poulin, Sharon Jackson, and Trish and Kurt Weber all of Bristol; a sister, Donna M. Holland of Watertown; 11 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 9 A.M. from Funk Funeral Home 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol to St. Joseph Church, Bristol for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 8 P.M.
