MacDONALD, Wayne Philip

Wayne Philip MacDonald, 60, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Bristol, and Cape Cod, Mass., passed away Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, in Gainesville, Fla. Born in Bristol; he was the son of the late Floyd D. MacDonald and Claire MacDonald. Wayne graduated from Bristol Eastern High School and A.I. Prince Tech. He was a lifelong carpenter with a passion for building with pride. He was a huge sports fan who loved traveling the country with his family to many sporting events. He was a passionate Red Sox, Celtics and Colts fan. Known as Herbie to most, he was a friend to all and a father to many. He always made sure that no one ever went without a meal, a drink, a gift, a place to sleep or most importantly a smile. Wayne is survived by his life partner, Debra Jones; his three sons, Ryan, Bret and Todd; his favorite daughter, Shannon and her husband, Tony; and the mother of his children, Cindy MacDonald. Wayne leaves the joy of his life his granddaughter, Addison Leigh. He also leaves four brothers, Gary, Jeffrey, William and Scott and their families; sisters, Dale Perry and Lisa D’Amato and their families; in addition to several nieces, nephews and cousins. Words cannot describe how much he is missed already. Calling hours will be 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with a procession to St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
