Lisentrina “Betty” (D’Auria) Reed, 91, of Bristol, beloved wife of Edward J. Reed, died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at Hartford Hospital. Betty was born in Millbrook, N.Y., July 15, 1917, and was a daughter of the late Benedetto and Theresa (Iacuele) D’Auria. She attended Millbrook, N.Y., schools. She had resided in Bristol for the past 28 years and retired from Scoville Manufacturing, Waterbury. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Bristol and the Bristol Senior Citizens. In addition to her husband, Betty is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Marietta Romano of Waterbury and Michael and Sanita Romano of Goshen; four grandchildren, Joseph and Frank Romano of Waterbury, Mark Romano of Harwinton and Steven Romano and his wife, Mary, of Goshen; six great-grandchildren, Anthony, Vincent, Robert, Steven Jr., Jack and Zachary Romano; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers, Gerry and Joseph D’Auria, and two sisters, Alvera Magnarella and Madalene DeSantis. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 13, 2008, 9 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol to St. Joseph Church, Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in Calvary Garden Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury.
