TETRO, Irene E. (Rathbun)

Irene E. (Rathbun) Tetro, 79, of Bristol, former Simsbury resident and wife of James C. Tetro, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Bristol Hospital. Irene was born December 28, 1928 in Hartford and was a daughter of the late Harry Milton and Hazel (Brown) Rathbun. Irene and her husband, Jimmy, were married August 28, 1965. She was employed at the Ethel Walker School for 26 years prior to her retirement. Mr. and Mrs. Tetro came to Bristol four years ago to live at The Pines at Bristol. In addition to her husband she is survived by a brother, Charles William Rathbun of New Britain and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Bryan Rathbun of Bristol. She was predeceased by two brothers: Kenneth Brown, and Harry “Jack” Milton Rathbun; and her sister, Doris Brown. A graveside service and burial will be held Friday, December 5, 2008, 2 P. M., at Peacedale Cemetery, James P. Casey Road, Bristol. Memorial donations may be made to The Pines at Bristol Recreation Department, 61 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, CT 06010.
