KISTLER, Charles Benjamin

Charles Benjamin Kistler, 92, widower of Victoria (Koslowski) Kistler, of Unionville and formerly of New Britain, passed away Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, after a long illness.

Born in West Nanticoke, Pa., he was the son of the late Webin and Blanche (Nash) Kistler and was a longtime New Britain resident. Charles was a 1933 graduate of Harter High School in West Nanticoke and after settling in New Britain worked for many years at the YMCA and Fafnir Bearing, where he retired in 1976.

A loving father, he will be dearly missed, by his son and daughter-in-law, Charles Kistler and Connie Pizzionia Kistler of Farmington. Charles was also predeceased by two brothers and a sister.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008, starting with a calling hour from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the New Britain Memorial & Sagarino Funeral Home, 444 Farmington Ave,, New Britain (directions: Interstate 84, right off Exit 37, 1½ miles on right) followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m. in St. Jerome Church.
