SCALISE, Kathleen (Talbot)

Kathleen (Talbot) Scalise, 61, of New Britain, wife of James Scalise Sr., passed away unexpectedly Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut. A native and lifelong New Britain resident, she graduated from Pulaski High School, Class of 1965, and received her LPN from Holy Ghost Hospital Nursing School in Cambridge, Mass. Kathy worked in the Ear, Nose & Throat Department at Grove Hill Medical Center in New Britain for 10 years and was a member of St. Maurice Church.

Besides her husband, Jim, she leaves two sons, James Scalise, Jr. of New Britain and Jonathan Scalise and his wife Janet of Southington; a daughter, Cara Carlson and her husband Erik of New Britain; her mother, Nellie (Krupinski) Talbot of New Britain; two sisters, Karen Cook and her husband James of Wallingford; and Patricia Talbot and her husband Dale Brunetto of New Britain; the lights of her life, her six precious granddaughters, Isabella, Lily, Sofia and Olivia Scalise and Aniela and Nataly Carlson; a brother-in-law, Sam Scalise of New Britain; and several nieces and nephews. Kathy was predeceased by her father, George Talbot.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Carlson Funeral Home, 45 Franklin Square, New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian burial 10:30 a.m. at St. Maurice Church, Wightman Road, New Britain. Entombment will be in St. Mary Cemetery Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home.
