BOUCHARD, Paul R.

Paul R. Bouchard, 81, of Bristol, husband of Yvonne (Martin) Bouchard, died Monday December 8, 2008 at the Bristol Hospital of complications from Alzheimer’s. Paul was born in St Agatha, ME on April 20,1927 and was a son of the late Celest and Lucy (Bourgoin) Bouchard and is a step-son of the late Emile Ouellette. He has resided in Bristol for the past 55 years and was employed at Pratt and Whitney Aircraft, Southington for 34 years before retiring in 1987. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, a member of St. Matthew Church, Forestville, Bristol Lodge of Elk’s #1010, and a 50 year member of the St. Jean de Baptiste Society, New Britain. In addition to his loving wife with whom he would have celebrated his 58th wedding anniversary on December 30th, Paul is survived by a daughter, Charlene Berube of Bristol; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ivore and Maizy Bouchard of Unionville and Maurice and Nell Ouellette of Plainville; three sisters, Estelle Bouthiette of NH, Rolande “Ann”  Bonneau of CA, and Bernice Dumais of ME; a brother-in-law, Emil Martin and his wife Georgette of Bristol; four grandchildren, Matthew Berube, Conan Bouchard, Dr. Carrie (Berube) Reddish, and Shannon Bouchard; seven great grandchildren, Hannah and Kaitlyn Berube, James and Dylan Bouchard, and Kathryn, Kyle and James Reddish; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Michael P. Bouchard, a brother, Ademar Bouchard and three sisters, Rose Hardwick, Lucille Cyr, and Cecile Bard. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 12, 2008, 9 A.M. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Matthew Church, Forestville for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at funeral home, on Thursday from 5 to 8 P.M.
