Nancy A. (Daley) Couture, 68, of Perkins Avenue, Waterbury, died Thursday evening Dec. 18, 2008, surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Edward J. Couture. Nancy and Ed recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Nancy was born in Waterbury Feb. 8, 1940, daughter of the late Daniel and Dorothy (Honegger) Daley. She worked for Carby Manufacturing in Watertown for 13 years and then Bozzuto’s of Cheshire for four years retiring in 2004. Nancy’s hobbies included sewing, quilting and going to the casino. She enjoyed watching her children play sports over the years. She coached cheerleading for the Waterville Vikings Midget Football for 10 years. Besides her husband of 50 years she leaves, three sons, Edward J. Couture Jr., John Couture and his wife, Marlo, and Dr. Alan J. Couture, all of Waterbury; a daughter, Susan Morocco and her husband, Edward, of Bristol; a brother, John R. “Jack” Daley and his wife, Linda, of Manchester Center, Vt.; a sister, Kathy Chaivanik and her husband, George, of Waterbury; a granddaughter, Amy Morocco of Bristol; and 34 nieces and nephews. A service will be celebrated Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at 8 p.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury. Calling hours with her cremains present will be Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
