FERRO, John B.

John B. Ferro, 59, of Miami Gardens, Fla., formerly of Bristol, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008. He was born June 17, 1949, in Bristol, son of the late Frank C. Ferro and the late Arline (Mitchell) Ferro Lavery. John was a lifelong resident of Bristol before moving to Florida eight years ago. Before his move, he was self-employed during the late 1980s and early 1990s as owner and operator of Michigan Hots Restaurant. He also was a professional tractor-trailer driver for many years. John had a passion for spectator sports especially baseball and spent his younger years dreaming of becoming a ball player. John is survived by his beloved son, daughter-in-law and grandson, Scott, Dawn and Zachary John Ferro of Terrryville; former wife, Gale Delfino of Canton; former father-in-law and mother-in-law, Alessio and Yolanda Delfino of Burlington; uncle and aunt Robert and Jackie Hart of Bristol; and several cousins and friends. Calling hours are yet to be determined and will be announced shortly, and burial at St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol, will be at the convenience of the family
