DUBE, Beverly (Rossi)

Beverly (Rossi) Dube, 72, of Bristol, beloved wife of Henry A. Dube Jr., passed away after fighting a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease on Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Bristol Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Bristol, daughter of the late Gaetano and Clara (Masi) Rossi. A lifelong resident of Bristol, she was a member of St. Anthony Church and was a graduate of St. Anthony Grammar School and High School. Beverly had worked at the comptroller’s office at Bristol City Hall, the former Bristol Brass for 22 years and Hamilton Standard in Farmington for seven years, until her retirement. She loved her home, had a beautiful doll collection and loved to cook and crochet. Her family would like to thank the staff at the Bristol Hospital Emergency Room, the Intensive Care Unit and Comfort Care on Floor F-South. Besides her husband, Henry, she is survived by her three children, Deborah M. Dube of Bristol, Donna Lyee Dube and her boyfriend, Neil Wagner, of Bristol and Carl H. Dube and his girlfriend, Debbie Root, of Farmington; her two grandsons, who were her pride and joy, Brian P. and Daryl H. Adamaitis; the family cat, Oscar; her two sisters and two brothers, Dolly Mercieri of Bristol, Mary Seckington of Terryville, Vito Rossi and Dominick Rossi, both of Bristol; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Sally Freimuth. The funeral will be held Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at 9 a.m. from O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville, to St. Anthony Church, Bristol, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
