O'REILLY, William Patrick

William Patrick O’Reilly, 76, of Terryville, beloved husband of Sandra (Schultz) O’Reilly, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2008, at Bristol Hospital. Bill was born April 7, 1932, in the Bronx, N.Y. He was the son of William and Mary (O’Connell) Reilly. Bill was a graduate of Iona College and a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. Before moving to Connecticut, Bill lived in Texas, working in the clock industry for Seth Thomas, Ridgeway and Howard Miller clock companies. More recently, he worked for Whitehall, Harstans and Hannoush Jewelers. Besides his wife, Bill is survived by his sons, Bill O’Reilly and wife, Diane of Arizona, Brian O’Reilly and wife Karla of Texas, Kevin O’Reilly of Texas, Liam O’Reilly, USMC stationed in Iraq and Matthew O’Reilly of Kansas; his daughter, Ann of Texas; his sister, Rose and husband, Frank O’Shea of New Jersey; his brother, Gene and wife, Liz Reilly of New Jersey. He also leaves his grandchildren, Sean, Kelly, Shannon and Ryan and many nieces and nephews, also his mother-in-law, Jennie Schultz of Terryville and family. He was predeceased by son, John, daughter Colleen McCoy and sister, Marie Cirenza. His family and friends will deeply miss his love and laughter. The family wishes to thank Dr. Rahman for all his years of kindness and caring. Family and friends may call at the Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
