POTZ-EDWARDS-JAKOWENKO, Ruth (Clark)

Ruth (Clark) Potz-Edwards-Jakowenko, 91, formerly of Bristol, Newington and Farmington died Friday, (December 12, 2008) at the Alzheimer's Resource Center in Plantsville. Ruth was born May 20, 1917 in Hartford, daughter of the late Samual and Martina (Martenson) Clark. She moved to Bristol where she owned and operated the Bits and Pieces Antique Shop. Ruth is survived by three sons, David Potz and his wife Penny of Bristol, Bruce Edwards of Burlington, and Keith Edwards of North Carolina; two daughters, Claudia Edwards-Looney and her husband Bill of Maine and Judy Bokun of Farmington; a sister, Laura Spring of Florida; five grandchildren Kelly and David Potz Jr., Jack Edwards and his wife Stefanie, Paul Edwards and Stacey Mangan and her husband Matt; four great grandchildren, Daniel Potz, Luke and Alandra Mangan, and Mia Edwards; two daughters-in-law, Beverley Edwards and Joyce Edwards; three nephews and one niece. Ruth was predeceased by a son, John Edwards, Jr. Funeral services will be held January 10 at 11 a.m. at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Avenue, Forestville. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Fairview Cemetery in West Hartford. Calling hours are from 10-11 on January 10.
