DESMARAIS, Claire A. (Lizotte)

Claire A. (Lizotte) Desmarais, 94, of Bristol and formerly of New Bedford, Mass., passed away at her home Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, after a brief illness. She was the widow of Roland R. Desmarais and the daughter of the late Wilfred and Ester (Bissot) Lizotte. She was a lifelong resident of New Bedford, Mass., until moving to Bristol in 2000 to live near her son. She was formally employed by Elco Dress Co., until her retirement and was a member of the Melville Towers Seniors.Survivors include her son, Richard R. Desmarais and his wife, Domicle of Bristol; two grandchildren, Janet Curran and Robert Desmarais; four great-grandchildren, Timothy Curran and Robbie, Jake and Danny Desmarais; a sister, Juliette Frechette of Dartmouth, Mass.; several nieces and nephews; son-in-law, Timm Curran; and daughter-in-law, Michelle Desmarais. Claire was buried in Sacred Heart Cemetery in New Bedford, Mass., Dec. 9, 2008, after a funeral Mass at St. Lawrence Church in New Bedford, Mass.
