LOZIER, Janice V.

Janice V. Lozier, 84, of Bristol, loving wife of 52 years to Gilbert J. Lozier, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2008, at home. Janice was born in Viper, Ky., Feb. 24, 1924, and was the daughter of the late Roy and Ethel (Brashear) Cody. She worked as a clerk for Marlin-Rockwell for 32 years. Janice will be forever remembered for her elegance, kind heart and most gentle spirit. She and Gil were blessed to be able to travel extensively throughout the United States and Europe. During their travels they made many lifelong friends, who will miss her deeply. Janice’s keen passion was her family. In addition to her husband, Gil, and their beloved dog, Toby, she leaves behind her sisters, Ava Hall and Moonyne Wright and her husband, George; her brothers, Bobby Cody and his wife, Faye, all of Hazard, Ky. and Elford Cody and his wife, Evie of Benton, Ark. Janice was predeceased by her six siblings, Bill, America Ellen, Thermal, Harlan, Delmar and James Cody. Funeral rites for Janice will be held Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at 8:30 a.m. with the procession departing at 9 a.m. from the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, 764 Farmington Ave., New Britain, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville, Committal service and final resting place will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville. Relatives and friends may call at the Paul A. Shaker/Farmingdale Funeral Home, Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. Directions to funeral home: I-84 East or West — Exit 37 (Fienemann Road) Right off exit — one mile down on right.
