LEVESQUE, Roland L.

Roland L. Levesque, 82, of Southington, husband of Rita (Cote) Levesque, died Thursday, December 25, 2008 at Southington Care Center. Roland was born in Van Buren, ME on September 15, 1926 and was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Dumond) Levesque. He resided in Bristol most of his life before moving to Southington 5 years ago. Prior to retiring he was employed at Northeast Utilities. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Ann Church, Bristol. In addition to his loving wife, Roland is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Roland and Pauline Levesque of Myrtle Beach, SC; three daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Bruce LeBeau of Green Cove Springs, FL, Linda and Frank Machado of Meriden, and Sandra and Steven Plourde of Bristol; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Gloria Levesque. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2008, 9 A.M. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Ann Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 A.M. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 7 P.M.
