Dorilla P. (Page) Simoneau, 95, formerly of 104 West St., Bristol, widow of Emile F. Simoneau, died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, at Ingraham Manor.Dorilla was born July 26, 1913, in her grandmother’s house in Bristol and was the eldest child of the late Arthur and Alzina (Goulet) Page. She was a lifelong Bristol resident and attended St. Ann Grammar School and the Smith Business School. She was active in local clubs and was a member and past president of the Franco American War Veterans Ladies Auxiliary, the Daughters of Isabella, the Bristol Women’s Club and the Ladies of St. Ann. She was a member of St. Ann Parish, Bristol. Dorilla’s proudest accomplishment was raising three children who all went to college.She is survived by her three children, Lorraine French of Bristol, Richard Simoneau and his wife Kathleen of Sandy Hook and Suzanne Simoneau and her husband Stephen Eaton of Bristol; and two sisters, Blanche Brault and Lorraine Duquette of Bristol. She had nine grandchildren and one great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. from Funk Funeral Home, 35 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, to St. Ann Church for a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
