Doris (Hackett) Mulcunry, 85, of Westborough, and Jupiter, Fla., died Thursday in the Beaumont Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Westborough after a short illness. Her husband James J. Mulcunry Jr. died in 1991. She is survived by her children, James Mulcunry and wife, Linda, of Worcester, Charles Mulcunry and wife, Laurie, of Enfield, and Kathy Petto and husband, John, of Hopedale. She also leaves her seven loving grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her second great-grandchild. She was born in Southington, the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Waggenbrenner) Hackett. She was educated in Bristol schools. She had previously been a dance instructor for many years at the Lena Ghio Scholl Dance Studio. Doris also taught ballroom dancing to countless seventh and eighth graders in Bristol during the 1960s. She retired in the early 1970s. During her years in Florida, Doris enjoyed line dancing and spent many meaningful hours doing volunteer work at Jupiter Medical Center. A memorial funeral Mass will be held Dec. 6, at 11 a.m. in Saint Anne’s Church, 130 Turnpike Road, Shrewsbury, Mass. Burial will take place in Florida at a later date. There are no calling hours.
