SCHUBERT, Virginia E. (Porrini)

Virginia E. (Porrini) Schubert went to join the angels in heaven on Thursday, Nov. 27, 2008, at Bristol Hospital. Virginia was born to Josephine and Frank Porrini, April 10, 1931. She leaves one daughter, Kathleen Doolittle and her husband, William L. Doolittle, as well as one very special sister, Rosemarie Guzowski. “Gramma Shuby” will be dearly missed as she leaves behind her loving grandchildren, Richard and Jennifer Armington, Lisa and Tom Levesque, Tina Santorso and Kara, Kelly and William T. Doolittle, as well as six great-grandchildren, Nicole, Alanna, Joel, Holly and “the twins,” Nicholas and Nathan, who have been permanently marked by the red lipstick “Shuby” kiss. Virginia, also known as Aunt “Cha,” will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews. A special goodbye is wished to her longtime friends Lillian, Barbara and Nellie, and special new friends, Anita and the rest of the Birchwood Drive gang. She was very happy during her short time there. A special farewell is also sent to her many McDonald friends at the Centre Mall. She said they will have to find another Red Sox fan to pick on. Virginia was known for her faith, strength of heart, love of angels and her “red birds.” She has now joined her dearest angels. She was predeceased by her husband, Richard; her two daughters, Linda Dougeneck and Susan Santorso; and a grandson, Richard Santorso. May she find peace everlasting. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Joseph Church, Queen Street, Bristol. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
