SISSON, Lorraine W.

Lorraine W. Sisson, 77, of Plainville, widow of Earl B. Sisson, passed away at the Hospital of Central Connecticut at New Britain General on Saturday, December 13, 2008.
She was born May 10, 1931 in Bristol, daughter of the late Morris Weiner and Sophie (Kilman) Lane. A resident of Plainville most of her life, Lorraine was employed at the New Britain Post Office for 19 years until her retirement. She was a member of St. Matthew Church in Forestville.
She is survived by her children, David Sisson and his wife, Carol of West Haven, Dianne Hancort and her husband, Brian of Bristol, Douglas Sisson of Plainville, Deborah Guimond and her husband, Gary of Plainville, Donna DiFrancesco and her husband Alan of Bristol, Donald Sisson of Plymouth, and Dori Ann Sisson of Plainville; her grandchildren, Joanna and Charles Sisson, Kirt Coer IV, Sherri Schiavi and her husband Rich, and Morgan, Jacob, and Nicholas Guimond, Tyler DiFrancesco, Katie, Elizabeth, and Amy Sisson; her great grandchildren, Madison, Zachary, and Katelyn Schiavi, and Kirt Coer V; and her dogs, Lucky, Sandy, Zoey, and Rusty.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2008, at 9:00 am. from the O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville, to St. Matthew Church, Forestville, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
