LAURENDEAU, Albert H.

Albert H. Laurendeau, 87, of Terryville, widower of Rita (Proulx) Laurendeau, passed away Thursday, Dec. 18, 2008, at home. He was born Sept. 20, 1921, in Bristol. A longtime resident of Bristol before moving to Terryville, he had served with the U.S. Army during World War II. Al was employed at Superior Electric for 25 years until his retirement. He was a member of the Old Time Fiddlers, the American Legion and the D.A.V. He is survived by his six children, June Laurendeau of Terryville, Gene Laurendeau and his wife, Roxanne, of Trenton, Fla., Donna Thomasen and her husband, Bill, of Plainville, Nancy Madore and her husband, Ron, of Bristol, Eileen Lemelin and her husband, Jim, of Royston, Ga. and Alison Laurendeau and her companion, Louie Marrone of Bristol; his son-in-law, Doug Burns of Bristol; his five grandchildren, Danal, Trisha, Jimmy, Brooke and Lisa; 11 great-grandchildren; his brother, John Laurendeau and his wife, Irene, of Bristol; his sister, Evelyn Palin of Bristol; several nieces and nephews. He was pre deceased by his daughter, Gail Burns. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at 11 a.m at O’Brien Funeral Home, 24 Lincoln Ave., Forestville. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. before the service.
